This will be the daily rantings of a 30 something married woman with 4 kids that lives in the middle of nowhere. Who knows what kind of stuff I may come up with or what mood I may be in daily. But stay tuned I may surprise ya from time to time.

Storms and bad weather
Last night we had some severe weather rip through our area. High winds, sirens blaring, rotating clouds, hail and heavy rain.
It got to the point where I nearly had every one of my kids in bed with me. That includes my 17 year old. They actually all were in my bed at some point. Just not at the same time.
It really was scary. National Weather Service warned that with how late the storms were, and how fast they were moving there would be no way to see the storm coming or to prepare for it. They advised we all take shelter. Now....we didn't take shelter. I have been through enough storms in my life to be able to listen to what was going on outside and know if it was worth waking everybody up (those that were able to sleep anyway)and hide in our bathroom. I am not an expert on storms or anything by far. But I could not hear any form of destruction outside. No tree branches breaking,no lawn furniture flying around, and nothing but rain hitting the house.
I don't let storms scare me easily but last night I was actually very worried.
We do not get television channels at our house so I can't watch the news to know if any tornadoes actually touched down or to hear of any flooding or damage. I do have our news station on Facebook so I have been following things on there.
I know that this storm moved up through Tennessee and Kentucky up towards Illinois and Indiana. I hope all of you made it through ok.
