This will be the daily rantings of a 30 something married woman with 4 kids that lives in the middle of nowhere. Who knows what kind of stuff I may come up with or what mood I may be in daily. But stay tuned I may surprise ya from time to time.

NyQuil
Why is it that on commercials for NyQuil people fall asleep just mere moments after taking the stuff?
I know people that get knocked out almost on contact after taking it.
Me? It has been about 30 minutes now. I haven't sneezed in a while and the fountain has shut off in my nose. BUT I am still awake. Tired? Well yes. But to be fair I have been tired for 2 days now.
I guess if I wanted instant sleep I should have taken some Benadryl. That stuff knocks me out for hours. Not sure if it works or not for my cold. I am too out of it sawing logs to notice.
Ok, something I just noticed. My husband has been asleep for a couple hours now. I just found out there is no school tomorrow due to weather. I noticed he was awake for a moment so I let him know I turned off my alarm clock and turned his on.
Well....any other night he is in the other room fast asleep and immune to the world. Can't even turn the lights off all night he is in such a deep sleep. Tonight, the night he needs to sleep to be able to get himself up for a change, he is in there cracking up laughing loudly at some comedy show. Which means I will be getting up in the morning anyway to wake him up as usual because he will be so tired he won't hear the alarm clock.
Oh joy.
Oh.....still no signs of passing out from the NyQuil. Actually I am more awake now than I was when I started writing this. I am even in bed at this very second. I was too scared to venture too far after taking it. After all in the commercials the people are in bed when they take it because it knocks you out so fast.
I should know better by now to not believe everything I see on tv.
